I am almost 2 a half and years out from the RNY. I have lost 100 pounds. I had a tummy tuck and some lipo in August which turned out great. Luckily I had been working my abs hard and I didn't need any muscle repair Thank God from what I hear that is the toughest part. OK my problem is ROTTEN gas, I could kill a small town. Does anyone else have this problem and do you know of a strong sparay that destroys odors instead of just covering qhen them up or make it worse?  Thanks Judi

Hi, Judi.  I sometimes have gas that smells so awful that my roommate says it smell like something died and rotted inside my gut!  I've discovered that my gas is much worse when I eat more carbs.  Doesn't address your question, but may help solve part of the problem.  I've been thinking about trying Beano or a similar product to see if it that can help even more.   Good luck finding a solution to your problem! Thanks Kellie, If I do find a spray that works I'll post it.  I carry a small spray from Bath and Body Works in my purse to use in "public" places. Funny story I was waiting in the exam room for the Dr. and had gas rotten as always so I used my spray and she came in and said it smells good in here. Glad she wasn't there 5 minutes before. :) Have a wonderful holiday season. Judi

Hi Judi! Consider what you're eating.  Simple carbs (breads, pastas, sugars) are HUGE culprits of gas. I've found two sprays that work well. One is Ozium, which you'll find in the automotive department.  New Car Smell seems to work the most effectively.  I also like a spray called Pure Citrus.  You can get it at Walmart and it makes the room smell like fresh cut oranges.

You could also try Devrom. It's a supplement that removes the odor.

ThanksSharyn I'll give it a try. I think we were in the nutrition meeting together. I am so glad you are doing so well. I started at 265 and am down to 162, wouild like to lose about 20 more. Isn't it fun to shop  in regualr sizes. No more "fat stores". Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy, Healthy New Year. Hugs Judi

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone. My son had a basketball game so I had to rush back to Columbus. You can purchase Devrom at the OH store. I think they also sell it at Bariatriceating.com and other places.
