Tuesday is my bandday
Having a few fears. Stupid ones I know. Feeling like I have to eat everything in sight cause I may never get to eat it again. Have to do clear liquids tomorrow. Scared of PB, sliming, throwing up, going through this and then not losing weight. Afraid of the pain, afraid I will be thirsty and can't glup my water down. All kinds of things, Scared I will look awful with hanging skin on my face and neck you cant hide that without a brown paper bag. And more and more. Jean
Hi Jean. I am still pre-band and I think all your fears are VERY normal. (I'll probably be on the verge of spazzing a day or 2 before mine..lol) It seems that some of the PB, sliming etc are to be expected as we find which foods we will be able to tolerate and learn to put the bandster rules into action. I think one of the things I like about this board is hearing about others experiences. Hopefully we can learn from theirs and then by sharing our experiences, others may learn from us. I just keep hearing that post-op we need to remember chew, chew, chew and sip, sip, sip and we should remember to walk as much as possible (helps with gas??). I also fear the sagging skin. Who wouldn't? Yet in having the surgery, we are taking back control of our health and life!
Good luck on your liquid diet today and best wishes on your surgery!
