My friend tried to have a RNY last week, but when they put in the camera they found a huge amount of scar tissue around her stomach and scar tissue that is attaching her stomach to her liver. The doc said he had never seen anything like this, so he did not proceed with the sugery. She does have keloids on her skin, but was told that it wouldn't affect the surgery. Her question now is what kind of specialist should she go to to find out what this is, is it dangerous and what to do about it. Her surgeon doesn't have an idea about where to send her. She doesn't know where to turn, so I thought you might have an idea. Thanks so much,
