OK...I just tried these and took a while to get past the idea of what I was eating but when I did...I get a huge amount of protein, great snacking and a really big crunch that we all LOVE......Pork Rinds.......one serving has NO carbs and 8 grams of protein.  The whole bag 10 servings has 80 grams of protein.  I can snack on that for sure.....I have tried plain and barb-a-que....both are good....So try them....What a easy way to get extra protein and have a really crunchy snack at the same time. Hi Pam. Only thing with those are that they are salty and I can't eat many of them before I'm sick of them and don't want to see any for a year. Hope you're doing well.

How are all the other things?  You know, calories, fat, sugar (any?)??  I don't know if I'd like pork rinds or not - I suppose if craving something "chiplike"  salty, crunchy - they might hit the spot.  And sounds like better than potato chips would!

In general, I think things, number wise arent all that bad.  I mainly look at protein levels on foods, I know I should care about the other things but I really just try to keep my protein high. Try them, or at least go to the snack isle and read the labels...I have become a lable crazed person...almost as bad as my obsession with cutting coupons (guess there could be worse things to be obsessed with)... LOL....labels and coupons...beats drugs and alcohol!  LOL!!  I also don;t really watch the other stuff..protein, sugar, calories and fat...and if its really good in protein, I'll sacrifice the others, lol! I'll check them out!  Thanks!

Being the country girl that I am, I've been eating them since I was a kid. Great thing about them is that you don't want to eat the whole bag, the way I always did with chips. Not only is the protein a plus, but the crunch factor is amazing! You can also buy them in microwavable snack sizes that are great for breaks at work. :) Gimme pig skin anyday! :)

I have never seen the microwave ones...I have something to shop for now..And, I do have the problem of eating the whole bag..at least one a day....I hope I get bored with it and move back to my veggies soon...........Thanks for sharing..... Pam 314/124

Hi Pam, The love of pork rinds went around the DS board a while ago, and many posted about them being some kind of "incomplete protein" that isn't fully absorbed until you pair it with something to bind the protein link (this is not scientific terminology, but laymans terms, of course).  The remedy was to eat them with some slices of cheese and you get all the proten benefits.

How are you doing with your TT recovery these days?
