Anyone have Caresourse Ins.?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone in Ohio has Caresourse ins. and if you got approved for WLS and how long approval took. Thank-you Amy

Hello,I have Caresource and just posted my trouble...went to wellness center in Spiringboro and was told that out of 30  applacations they turned in 0 were approved...althought I see on line everyday that some people with caresource have been approved and had no problem...was told you had to have LIFE THREATENING problems...that are not undercontrol w/2 or more meds....I don't have,I have GERD,asthema,high blood pressure,depression,sleep apnea...and was told it was all not bad enough to cause me to die...I am waiting on response to my post to see how others dealt with it...I am at a lost,but will not give up..I also think it had something to do with my PCP...she wrote a letter saying that ALL my health problems were undercontrol w/ the help of my meds.....I take 2 differant things for my asthema and 3 for my artherites...But don't give up...I will keep going...infact I have A call in now to the HEAD Dr. at the office I go to,maybe he can help...But I will not give up...so don't you...maybe we can help each other out....let me know what happens...and I will keep you upto date....but do try..all you will be out is a little time,....Mary

Mary, OMG! Are you kidding me? I just finished my last of nine months of appointments to get approved. Clinic Clinic said I shouldnt have a problem getting approved if I did a nine month doc. weight lose attempt and had a high BMI, I have over two-hundred pounds to loose but not one healyh problem, and they said I Should still get approved. Im freaking out now. I started to buy shakes and trying to work out someone to cover at work for me. I feel like crying after reading 0 out of thirty denied. I thouight if I did everything the surgeons office said I would be approved. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, im freaking out, their sending my file to ins. tommorrow.? Amy

I didn't post all that to upset anyone,just to let you be aware of the fact that it was MY expereance...I am not giving up....I will keep trying,I may try another Hospital...Are you in Ohio?if so,where did you go? I will keep trying...where I went maybe they are 0 out of 30,but where you are,they maybe 30 for 30....and I hope it is...and like I said,My insurance is Caresource,you didn't say what you had,I am guessing the same,and I had 2 set's of 9 month diet and all that...I hope you get it...keep in touch....I know I will....Mary

Mary, Yes, I have caresource ins. But before I started trying for RNY at the ClevelandClinis, I told them I have no health problems-not one, but my BMI is 70,is it worth trying, they said I can get approved just cuz my high bmi-they better have not lied, i will be so sad. I know you were not trying to upset me, i wanted to know what to exspect from caresourse. But 0 for thirty just seems awful, Im gonna call the finacial lady tom. and ask her what my chances are, at least ive been told they make a decision in one or two weeks. Thanks, Amy
