Good luck tomorrow, Francine!!!

Hey Girl,  Just thought I would start a thread for you so all of us could wish you lots of luck and love for tomorrow. You will do great and we can't wait to see you partying with us on the loser's bench.  Lots of luck, love, and prayers for you tomorrow.

Thanks. I got home Wednesday about 4:00 but haven't been doing much.  I  still feel pretty bad. And I'm afraid to eat anything other than a shake!! I really want the tube out on Tuesday. I think everything will be easier.  

HEY WELCOME HOME!!! Oh how I remember that tube.  It was the most uncomfortable thing and always in the way it seemed. But, not to scare you, if you think its bad now, wait till it comes out. Now that has got to be the weirdest feeling in the world. Its not really painful, just a really uncomfortable, belly flipping feeling. But we did it and so can you. Just give everything a few days, if not a couple weeks to be feeling back to normal. It happens I promise.  WELCOME TO THE LOSERS BENCH!!! 

I guess the tube really worries me. I look at it and I think is it getting to full. Is it the wrong color. I guess I don't know if I'm healing if I'm still draining.  Of course this afternoon alot less has come out so I guess i should stop worrying. Francine

Mine never really drained too much but I woke up one morning and the thing was almost full. I freaked that morning thinking I did something while I was sleeping but Cathy said it was normal and not to worry. Easy for her to say. lol. Just keep a close eye on it because I got a huge infection in that incision. So clean it well. Actually, clean it better then well because I thought I had cleaned it well and well, obviously I didn't.  But hey, I'm nearing ever so close to that 100lbs gone. Of course 30 of that was gone before surgery but the totals are looking good. See what amazing thing you get to look forward to?

WELCOME HOME FRANCINE!!! The first few weeks can be rough but I totally agree with Linda, you will be feeling soooooo much better when you get the tube out. That damn tube!!!  That was the worst part for me. Mine got a kink in it and it hurt like HELL when it came out. But it was only for like 5 seconds and it was over. Would I do it all over again? ABSOLUTELY!!! I figure if that was the only problem I had, I was more than happy!! The tube is just annoying! I had no infection and was also worried about it coming out. I pinned it to my bra that way it stayed up and had less pressure on it.  I PROMISE you will feel like a new person in a few weeks! It takes that long to get your strength up. Follow the diet and you will do fine! Don't rush any new foods. I have had NBO trouble with food! I have not thrown up once! I think the key is just follow the diet! You have plenty of time for other foods later. Keep your chin up and stay positive!! We are here for you!!! WELCOME TO THE LOSER"S BENCH!! You'll never regret it!!  Malissa
