Caffeine
Hey Sharyn, you're right on, caffeine is a diuretic, and consuming it makes it easier than ever to get dehydrated, caffeine is also a grade A irritant to the pouch. As for myself, anything more than 1 or 2 cups of half-caff wears on my pouch over time. It is also said that caffeine is an appetite stimulant, in other words, it makes you more hungry. Hope you had a good time yesterday, Doug
Thanks for the info Doug. That's very interesting. I have been drinking more coffee lately to keep from eating. However, it's coffee from home and not machine coffee. I can;t drink machine coffee at all. I guess I should try to find a way to cut back. Now how am I going to stay awake at the computer and keep from munching?

I have been buying at Walmart caffiene free Arizona Stress RX green tea. It is wonderful and keeps me from accumulating too much fluid with my CHF. It has some chammomile, ginsing and valerian root in it. It helps keep me from being so stressed and has NO caffiene.. Pretty tasty too.
