Dr. C need advice

Dr. C, I am not your patient, I am a patient of Dr. Kerlakian, but could you plz answer a question for me? My psyche put me on Adderall XR for my ADD, she knows that I have had a rny. She wanted to try it anyway! I am bottoming out. Can you explain to me how I can explain to her that rny's can not do extended release drugs? ty deb

Other than telling her that it doesn't work I'm not sure...just tell her that RNY patients have decreased absorption and more rapid transit of medications. Trace W.
