JUST WONDERING HAVE ANYONE DEALT WITH MEDICARE FROM OHIO AND THE THINGS THEY WENT THROUGH WITH THEM

I have medicare.  There is a list of things that you have to have two of to be approved for surgery.  One is a BMI over 35 , then there is high blood , surgar, sleep apnea........ if you call them they will give you the list.  It is actually one of the easier insurances to get approved on.  That is what I was told . Any idea about Medicaid??? Do they have criteria for adolescents?  My grandson is morbidly obese from Hashimoto Disease which has destroyed his thyroid.  He has sleep apnea, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and they suspect that his heart has become enlarged from carrying the excess weight.    He will be 14 in November and weighs over 230 pounds while only about 5'3".
This too will pass, like a kidney stone but it will pass!
