Still Got the Gurgles and Cramps. Dr. C????

Dear Dr. C, I posted last week when I started having more "stomach noise" than usual.  My cramping last week was painful but lessened as the week went on.  However, it's still there and today I had to leave a full cart in a store to go home to use the bathroom.  I'm having two to three bowel movements per day four out of seven days.  The rest of the time, the "gurgles" are still there but not "productive".  Of course I am worried about strictures, twisted intestines, blocked stoma, etc.  My appetite is fine.  I am not nauseous and except for stomach cramping, there is no pain--sharp or otherwise.  My diet is the same thing I've been eating since my RNY on Nov. 3rd of last year.   Is there anything I can take, like GasX or Immodium that will help?  It's not only worrisome, it's annoying!   Thank you for your advice!

Sure you can take GasX, no problem there, but I think you need to let your surgeon know about these problems. Any idea why the excess gas can be cause?...honest within the past 2-3 weeks I have had a lot of excess gas also.  Diet is really the same but you can actully feel the gas moving through my body (that has always been since surgery) but sometimes it hurts and have to run to the potty in fear that I might explode.  Is this due to my hernia and the growth it has had?,,,,anyway...glad your taking it out on Sept. 10....Pam
