This is a question for those who are going thru OSU. After submitting your application to OSU, how long has it taken for you to hear something back? I submitted mine at the beginning of May and I havent heard anything from OSU or medicaid. Should I be concerned? Thanks!

I did not go through them but there is someone I know that's going through them. Its a LONG waiting time. She also had medicaid. She's been dealing with alot of things for about 7 months now. I'm not sure if that's normal or not but it can be a long wait. You can always just call and let them know you're doing a follow-up call.

Call and check on it.  That is too long.  I submitted my paperwork in March of last year, and I was "doing stuff" in May.  They told me they board meets once a month to review applications and I had just missed the March meeting - so mine sat until the April meeting, and I heard in early May. So even if you got your application in too late for the May meeting, it should've been reviewed in June.  Even if they are backlogged, I'd think you would have made the July review. Call and check on it.  They won't mind.  Perhaps you've been misplaced...or they are waiting on some info and you can help move it along.  Seriously, CALL.

I think it was three to four weeks for me.  That was last year so I don't really remember.  It can be frustrating dealing with them.  I feel like they didn't know I existed for a good while.  You mostly get recorded messages when you call and when you do get a voice the girl that answers isn't very friendly (the receptionist).  There seems to be something going on over there right now.  Their web site is down.   I've placed a few calls to them and haven't heard from anyone over there for quite a while.  I'm thinking about changing doctor's.  I'm looking into a different procedure.  You know, it could be that they are so busy they're overwhelmed. I do wish you luck Bobbie.  Peggy

Thank you, Peggy. I wish you luck as well.  I have been considering the DS procedure. And I know that its not offered at OSU. I'm going to call osu monday to follow up, but if I dont get anywhere, I'm going to try Dr. Rita Anderson in Kettering. Have u heard anything about her?
