what does the   physhologist  evaluation   intell,,,   

For me all I had to do was to and talk for about 30 minutes, tell her what I knew about the surgery and how I got FAT. For others they have to take a 500 question test. It all depents on what your insutance and doctors want.  Good Luck,  Robin

I had to do the HUGE test.  It asked the most ridiculous questions.  Do you like blood?  Do you want to kill your father/mother/brother or sister?  Do you hear voices when no one is there?  Do you talk to these voices?  yada yada yada.  It was a stupid test....but I had to do it to get the surgery.  The next time, I went in and had to talk to him about the test results.  Then he gave me clearance for the surgery.  What a pain where I sit.  Don't stress it.   Linda

Mine was pretty straight forward I think I spent about 45min-1hours talking answering questions.  It felt to me like they were making sure that I knew what I was getting myself into.  And that I was aware of all the changes that had to be made and did I feel I was really ready to make those changes.  Some people think their ready but these docs can tell with their questions if your really ready.  Sometimes your body may be ready but your brain isn't - I still struggle with food and I continue to see a therapist to help me work through those issues. Also I remember that she wanted to make sure that I had a strong support system in my life for after surgery because support is one of the biggest keys to success. Hope this helps.
