trouble with protein sources

I seem to have a lactose problem and can't eat meat yet....get the yacks and heaves.  So I am wondering about egg white protein.  Can I make drinks from it?  Does it come in different flavors?  Any and all ideas needed and wanted.  Thanks!  Carolee

Have you tried using Lacatid tablets or Lactose free milk? Also, I am still on liquids and do 1 cup of chicken broth with 2 tsp of cheesy instant mashed potatoes. Nuke for 2:30-3 minutes. Take out and stir in 1/4 cup of egg beaters--they cook in the hot broth. It is about 8 grams protein-6 from eggs and one each from broth and potaoes. It is pretty tasty.

I haven't tried the Lactose free milk or the tablets but will.  I will try your broth recipe too.  It's been six weeks today.
