Just saying Hi....

Hi, my name is Brandy and I am hoping to find an end to this long journey. I started my WLS journey about 6 years ago. I went through the entire process and at the wire, 1 week from my surgery date, My insurance company changed their mind and remembered there was an exclusion. It was a self funded plan, so I think the company just said, we are not paying for that. I fought and fought. I should have hired a lawyer. But ended up giving up.  Here I am 6 years later, insurance does cover it!!! It is a "standard benefit". Yea me!   and several people in my company have had it. My boss being one of them.  Today I go for my 2nd informational session. My husband could not attend the one with the surgeron I want. They are held during the day or on Thursday evenings and he has school on Thursdays. So.... Here I go! Wish me luck Brandy

Hi Brandy That would so **** me off being that close and insurance do that to you. I'm 5 days from the big day and have been on an emotional rollar coaster ride for the last few days and if my insurance were to call up and tell me that...I don't know if I could handle it. BUT...apparently you have and your strong enough to go through this all over again. GOOD FOR YOU! I hope all went well today and it will be a succesful journey this time around.
