I had lap rny on thurs and came home saturday everything with the surgery went very well.  All the staff at the cleveland  clinic were wonderful I would recommend the hospital progam to anyone. The pain meds work well except they make me really sleepy, and my nausea is getting less each day. The man who transported me to surgery could tell I was nervous, so he made jokes and then started to sing someone is praying for you, he actually wasn't a bad singer  it did relax me more.

Welcome home! I had mine the day before you. I'm so glad you had a good experience. As I told Andrea, the Tylenol Adult sugar free elixer seems to help take the edge off for me.  Are you on full liquids? I have been making high protein milk (2 cups 1% milk mixed with 1/2 cup dry milk) and making a "potatoe soup" with mashed potatoe flakes and some VERY thin cream of wheat and strained cream of chicken soup and of course lots of pudding. All the protein powders that tasted so good pre-op are just TOO sweet for me now. So, i'm trying VERY hard to get all my protein in.  Take care, Joan

I started puree yesterday.  Trying cottage cheese with fruit, scrambled eggs but can only take a few bites, hard to get all protein in, my surgeon said right now it is more important to stay hydrated since it is so hot.

OMG you are on food already! I'm jealous :) Dr. Chlysta wants us on full liquid for two weeks and those protein powders are not my favorite. But I was able to get in 60 gm protein yesterday! Yay me. Maybe you should go a little slower if they are bothering your tummmy. Take care!  Joan
