Home and moving around

I had my gastric sleeve Weds the 20th. My liver was too enlarged to do the RNY I was released on Friday. I have been just staying at home and taking it easy. I am so lucky that I have a thoughtful husband who tends to my every need. Mike really makes me comfortable. I wish I had better meds, this pain syrup makes me want to sleep all day. Other than being sore I am doing ok. The Cleveland Clinic was awesome. All the dr's, nurses, aides, and workers are really nice. A+++ facility.

Congrats!  Did you go on a liquid diet prior to your surgery?  If so, how long were you on it?

I was put on a special diet "all protein bars for 2 weeks. I did lose 23lbs in 2 weeks on the diet. I am glad I got the sleeve.

Welcome home! I'm so glad you made it through OK. Keep up your fluids and try some Tylenol elixer (adult strength) to take the edge off when you dont want to be so sleepy. It worked for me. I never even filled my prescription narcotic (agree - just too sleepy) I had a good experience too. (Just updated my Blog if anyone wants to read about it) Take care of yourself sweety!  Joan
