Has anyone heard from Winnergirl???

Hi Tina, I am not Winnergirl..........I hope you don't mind me replying to you. Just wanted to let you know that we have several things in common:  I live in Elyria and my surgeon is Dr. Ben-Meir. I have surgery scheduled for this coming Tuesday.  Dr. Ben-Meir had me go to a pulmonologist, vascular doctor and cardiac doctor. Luckily, I passed all things and hopefully, all will go well in surgery. My insurance did require a psych eval. I guess I passed that, too. I didn't get too much information from him.......just that I seemed normal and there was nothing outstanding showing. Good old boring me, I guess. I think I am about 5 years older than you (I'm 53). Good luck to you Denise! I will remember you in my prayers. You are in good hands with Dr. Ben-Meir...he was my doctor and did a great job! Tomorrow starts the beginning of a new you! I'm hear for support if you should have any questions. It's been 8 weeks since my surgery and I feel great and I'm down 37-lbs.!  Cheers!

Tina that is funy that you should ask....I was just thinking about her! I was looking for info from an old post and saw her avitar and wondered how she was doing! If you hear anything keep us posted! Colleen

Winnergirl frequently posts on the April board. I see here there from time to time. Looks like we all have the same doctor in common and we all live farely close by. I'm from Wellington, just south of Oberlin. Sure would be nice to all keep in touch. Do you ladies from Elyria attend any support groups in the area? I found one in North Olmsted but haven't gone to it yet. Just wondered if there was one any closer.  Cheers!
