I am 13 months out from surgery.  My parents are taking my sister... also a RNY pt, to the Holy Lands, for 10 days next Feb.... I am worried about getting enough protien while there.. I do not eat fish, seafood or lamb.  I am to scared to travel with baggies of white protien  powder in my suitcase.. esp in the middle east.. and worried about liquid protien suppliments spilling all over.  Does anyone have any suggestions??

I suggest Ostrim Meat Sticks--they rock. What about some whey protein bullets? How about protein powder in individual packets? Foil packets of chicken (like the tuna packets?)

Hi know you are worried about the liquids...but there are these things that are 3 oz and have 42 grams in each vials....they look like test tubes...but they are unbreakable perfect for travel... There are two brands...profect...(only has 23 grams) and then New Whey 42! Have a wonderful and blessed time! Colleen

Thanks for the advice.... Where do you get the meat sticks, protien bullets and the high protien vials?

Protein vials and bullets are the same thing. You can order them at www.bariatriceating.com or some local nutrition stores have them. You can always call around and ask. I got my vials and Ostrim sticks at the GNC off of Brice Rd, South in the plaza where Pier One outlet is. Not all GNC carry them. You can also order the Ostrim sticks online. Just google any product and it will bring up sites toorder them.

I just returned from a trip and I did travel with unopened protein powder drinks (just add water) and made it through security.  As long as the container is not opened it should not be a problem.  You can call the airlines ahead of time and check with them.  Sounds like a wonderful trip - have a great time.
