cleveland clinic;anybody have to go to nutrition workshops?

i was just wondering if anybody had to go to nutrition workshops after they did their nutrition appointment. a friend told me they had to go like 6 or 9 times to them in cleveland.

Hi, I am going to Akron General and we have two group and one personal nutrition appointment. But you can go back to as many of the group meetings as you want.

oh no i meant did they force you to go to any nutrition groups before they would clear you for surgery? thats what i heard from somebody.

I am having surgery at  Cleveland Clinic and I only had to go to one nutrition appt. and one psych appt. They may have you attend more classes if they feel you do not understand the diet changes you have to make.

what all did they have you do? i got my blood tests done,chest xray,ekg and visit with impact nurse and impact doctor.and nutrition and part of psych done. have a follow up with both psych and nutrition.

I also had the ekg, bloods tests and the visits with the impact center.  On Monday I have a visit for education of diet  for after surgery to see if I have any questions and then I see Dr. Schauer after that, my surgery is wed. I do not have a follow up psych eval as far as I know.

did you do the psych visit yet and the nutrition visit? how long ago did you start this process with cleveland clinic? i have dr schauer too and so does my friend.i havent met the surgeon yet.

Yes, I had my psych and nutrition visit a year ago.  My insurance denied me the first time due to six month diet. I repeated the 6 month diet and then was approved.   Everyone at the clinic is very nice and very helpful.  You will like dr schauer he is nice and makes you feel at ease. Once I got approval from insurance company I got a surgery date for 3 weeks later.
