cleveland clinic,how long did you have to wait for surgery?

hi i was just wondering how long did you have to wait for surgery once you got your laps,nutrition,intake,xray,psycho evaluation done. i have to go wednesday. please let me know em email me please at [email protected] also if you had to go to any classes for binge eating. i heard someone say she had to go to even though she didnt have it

After you have all of the required evaluations done one of the big issues is how long your insurance takes to give approval. Once I had insurance approval I had my surgery scheduled for a month later. Sorry I can't help with the binge eating classes I didn't have to attend these. Hope this helps,

did you have your psych evaluation yet? the one thing i didnt like was i had a psy eval cause first i was going with st vincent but the surgeon there was crappy to me and rude. he didnt like it that i asked any questions. and he kept trying to evade answering it! so unfortunately cleveland said they wont take the psy eval i had done. than i heard from my friend she had to go to alot of those nutrition classes before she could go to the surgeon. and i frankly dont have gas money to drive all the way there for that. so i was wondering if you had to do any the nutrition classes.

I am still in the very early stages. I have not actually met with the surgeon yet. A friend of mine was scheduled for surgery as soon as possible after insurance approval. Took her just about three months to get from workshop to insurance approval and then two weeks to surgery date. One thing I really liked about Cleveland Clinic, everyone is treated like an individual. The tests and classes you will need to take will be different than the next person.

I went to my first seminar at Cleveland Clinic on 10/26/06. I got my psych evaluation, all my nutrition and meet with the surgeon by the end of Nov/2006. It took my insurance until end of May for approval. Once your insurance approves you, you could have a surgery date in 2-3 weeks.  Good luck.
