I AM APPROVED!! I am doing the Happy dance galore.. It took total time  over 3 years!!

WOW Congrats what type insurance do you have if you don't mind telling & what type WLS did you decide to go w/...Super cool for you tho...

I have Medical Mutual,so many pre -requirements I had to do GOOD GRIEF..   and now I am torn between lap band and  the RNY ( By pass). I keep having weird Dreams..lol  Nightmares actually. Thank you for taking the time to write.. Little comments lift my spirits greatly... because I have many negative people around me.  Blessings!! Valarie

Congtats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MMO has changed a lot since I had them. I was approved in about 3 weeks.  Just keep researching and chose what is going to be RIGHT FOR YOU!!!!!!!!! What is right for one person might not be right for you. Keep asking questions, keep those PROS and CONS list that might help also.  Go to the RNY forum and the Band forum and ask questions there.  Good Luck in which ever WLS you choose.  Robin

Hi & congratulations - I had medical mutual too.....after I did the 6 month supervised diet then I got approved right away (within a week of sending it in) - I think it must depend each individuals coverage or something.  It is terrible that they make people wait for so long. Again - Congrats to you and good luck on your decision with which surgery to go with!

Congrats Valarie! I remember hearing the "you are approved" from the surgeons office last August and the HUGE tears of joy I couldnt stop crying. Such an exciting time for me, it took me over 2 years to get the approval. I wish you TONS of success and good wishes...You are in EXCELLENT hands with Dr. Ben-Meir! Michelle

I got my date.. whoa!!  it is flying flying flying by.. sheese.. June 26 I just got back from pre-op I have to drink OPTI for 2 weeks to shrink my big fat LIVER Yuckie.. I will do it tho came to far to fail now.  I lost 7 pounds  whoooo hoooooo
