first timer

Hi all, first time on the forum, considering WLS, not sure which type or when. Have no insurance and no money so not sure how to pay for it. Someone told me a teaching hospital might be the way to go, Live near Canton Ohio. Does anyone know of a teaching hospital near there? What can I expect in the way of Costs? Do I need a referral from my regular fam MD? Anyone have an opinion on which type of surgery? Run my own business, and work long long days, so cant imagine being off work for a long period. Comments anyone?  Rebecca

Hi In same boat still debating which type WLS I am looking for first I was all about the Lap Band Now leaning towards RNY my best advice is try not to read too many horror stories And Do research and More...And Go to seminars meet w/ surgeon who do the types of surgerys your intrested in..I started on hear reading the scary stories but after I did research i feel better its kinda overwhelming trying to figure out the terms like Weight Loss surgery. WLS..I had no idea what that meant at first and you will learn I have been addicted to this site, U can never get enough information here..Good Luck in your journey and you are gonna find the nicest people on this site...
