What to expect
I had Open RNY so things will be different for you but you won't need much at the hospital.
You might want to take chap stick, slippers. Lose fitting clothes to go home in. Your personal items, toothbrush, soap, etc. Maybe a book or magazine to read. You won't be in the hospital long so you really don't need to much.
I'm sure some of Dr. Curry's other patients will be on later and they can tell you more.
Good Luck,
Robin
My surgery was in Dec. with Dr. Curry. He has done soooo many lapbands, both very efficiently and expertly that my family hardly had time to yawn before he was finished. Yes, you will have epigastric discomfort in recovery but they are quick with the pain meds, so don't worry. After you get to your room and wake up even more, be sure to walk as soon as you can. They make sure you can swallow and keep liquids down and "pee" before they will discharge you.
Good luck and everything will be just fine!!!!!
