Hi! I attended my educational class yesterday and am so

excited to have decided to go ahead with my surgery.  I am in my  2nd month of the insurance mandated 6 mo. supervised diet. The staff at the center I chose are great and that is before surgery; I've heard its the same afterwards too. In the coming months I hope to gain friends and information.

i'm also new to this site and am going for my first consulation visit on tuesday june 5th. my insurance has already approved the first step and i'm hoping that it's nott going to be an issue. do you have a date yet for your surgery? i am hoping to find out more about mine next week. the staff that i ahve met so far seem really nice and they appear to know what they are talking about. i've heard alot of different things about the lap band, and not all were good. i have a few questions that i plan on asking at my visit and will decide if i am going to follow through with it. i hope that you have success in your journey. if you need any info and i can help, just let me know. hope to talk to you soon.

Hi.  Thank you for your response.  I am doing things a little backwards.  I have attended my day long seminar-nurtition, exercise etc.  I am in my 3rd month out of 6 month dr supervised visits required by Humana. I am also seeing a psychologist who is helping me to understand my eating issues.   I am hoping to have the surgery in the end of October.  That should have me use to the program by the Christmas Holiday, which is always a problem for me.

Congrats on your decision to have weight loss surgery!! I have met the staff working with you at Deaconess hospital on several occasions as well as having the privilege of spending time with Dr. Rodriguez.  I know they have a very strong program and are working hard as we speak to make it even better...I have confidence in Dr. Rodriguez as I know he is an experienced and dedicated surgeon -he will do his utmost to give you every tool you need to succeed.
