Medicaid finally approved my surgery.

I am so excited I finally got approved for my surgery. I have been trying for  five months now and I am so happy that I don't have to go through anymore aggravation. Thanks for everyone *****sponded to my previous posts I vented a lot of frustration. I would to especially thank Debbie Brown for answering all my questions.

Hi Bobbi. Have you heard anything about your case?  Once the dr's office sends it in you should have a reply in 2-3 weeks. Let me know whats going on.

andrea, My dr. is resubmitting all my info this coming week since medicaid ''lost it''. So I guess I should hear something soon.  I'm so happy you were approved.  Are you having open or lap or something different?

I am hoping to recieve lap but since I am close to the weight were they do it in two parts I may recieve the gastric sleeve first and then have it converted once I lose some weight. The Dr told me he won't know until he is actually doing  the surgery. As far as medicaid goes I would call them in about two weeks and ask them if they recieved your package from your doctor, explain to them that the paper work was lost before and you want to know, thats what I did. I am SO HAPPY for you... It is such a relief to be on the approval side, now all you have to think about is YOUR NEW LIFE!... If you have any questions after (or before) surgery don't hesitate to ask...
