Any suggestions??????????

I have now been on the loosers bench for a week.  WoooHooooo, anyway  I had the sleeve done so I am to take 2 childerns vit. in morining and evening.  Well since the surgery tastes and smells are so differant.  I cant seem to stomach the vitiams the smell gets me before I even get them in my mouth, when I get them down it just seems to sit in my stomach like a rock.  So my husband went to GNC and got me liguid vit and well that was discusting, I am still burping them up from last night.  Anyone else have that problem if so what you do? Which children's vitamins are you taking?  I take the Flinstone Complete....they aren't that bad and they seem to not sit in my stomach.  I make sure they are chewed very very well before I swallow.  After I take them I take my Caltrate they are not bad either and maybe they chase the taste of the vitamins away.  Hope you can find something you like, we will be taking them for a LONG time.

I didn't/don't like any of the vitamins post op, but force myself to take the Flinstones...I agree make sure to chew them really well and are you taking them with something?  I know you're only a week out but you should be taking them with a little food (or protein shake)  another option, can you put the liquid vitamins in with some of your protein shake?  I would only put it in a small amount so you can be sure that you're getting it.  To help with flavor of the protein shakes I added extracts...like a  few drops of mint to the chocholate shake....that might help mask the flavor of the liquid vitamin. 

i bought a liquid multi vitamen from GNC - I usually take the womans mega - this was the liquid mega - and I t hought - ha - great - I can just take that - well... let me tell you - I wasted my $$ on it - it tasted absolutely horrible - like some orange gross medicine stuff - ugh - everything I could do to keep from vomiting it up!  Will be looking for other alternatives to try!  Anne
