Time goes so slow while waiting.

Someone please tell me that time will pick up. I got my approval last month and my first appointment is May 30. This whole month has gone soooo slow. I'm so excited to get the ball rolling that just sitting here waiting is killing me. But I know as much as I am complaining that time is going slow, I'll be back complaining that time went by too fast and my surgery date will be here before I know it. I see the dietician and PT on May 30 and the surgeon on June 5. What's the average time that it takes to have all the pre-test done and getting a sugery date? I'm really hoping for a July date because I don't have any kids activities going on and I'm hoping to have this done with the least impact on my kids lives. And I really hope to have it done before they go back to school in August. Thanks, Linda

I agree.  I started my process in Jan 07.  My surgery is scheduled for May 29th.  Hang in there, the time does fly.  I met monthly with a nutritionist ****il my insurance approved the surgery) and at least I felt I was moving in the right direction.  Even in four months I was only able to loose one pound.   Be patient, things have a way of working themselves out.

The waiting is a slow process - Use the time to start to practice your new life style after surgery.  Eating habits, exercise and such.  Do what you can.  I would think since you've already got the approval that they will schedule your surgery after the you see the surgeon on the 5th. So depending on how busy your surgeon is I don't see any reason why you shouldn't have a July date but don't hold me to that because as we all know everybodies journey is different as different as the docs are.  See you soon on the losing side. Hugs Amanda
