Okay....getting anxious as my day nears
I seem to have an anxiety disorder so I am trying with the help of the anesthesia dept at OSU to come up with some kind of plan. Twice before when I was scheduled for surgery (tubal ligation and gallbladder) I walked out of the hospital due to extreme fear. I am scheduled for May 30th at 7:30 am. I am due at the hospital at 5:30 for pre op stuff. If I have to sit around wide awake for 2 hours I am so afraid I won't be able to go through with the RNY that I am have been working toward for FIVE years. 
Can anyone help me figure this out? They are trying to get someone into the hospital early enough to take me to the pre op area and sedate me but they aren't sure they can find anyone. Seems you need someone to watch your vitals while you are waiting if you're sedated. Can you send answers to [email protected]? I really can use some encouragement here.
