Care to share meal plan
I had to do 2 weeks of clear liquids: Propel, crystal ligh****ered down, broth, jello, sugar-free popsicles
then 2 weeks of full liquids: added milk (but it made me sick & still does) and low carb yogurt.
then 2 weeks of pureed foods: added pureed soups (vegetable, strained chicken noodle) runny mashed potatoes, cottage cheese.
I hope that helps. I lost the most weight that first 6 weeks & I am glad I followed the doctor's orders. It only gets harder to lose the farther you get out.
Hugs,
Darlene
I did not have to do a pre-op diet. Post-op, in the early days after surgery, do not even sweat trying to get in a lot of protein. You should focus more on just trying not to get dehydrated. You can worry about protein a few weeks down the road when you are able to take in a little more at a time.
I really like the Nectar Fuzzy Navel protein powder. I make it a little watered down & add the ice after it is all mixed up.
Good luck!
