Psych Question

Hi all, My psych eval was faxed over to the office on Friday afternoon! (yeah!!) I finally made contact after some phone tag with Latonya and she said that my file had to go to courtny holdbrook (?) before it could be submitted for insuance. I panic and asked if my psych eval was bad and she said no, the some cases the dr just asked to have her review prior. Anyone else ever been in this situation? How long does this process take? Do you think that my psych eval was bad or could it be because I am on anti depressants? ( now with a slight case a paranoia ) Thanks Colleen

I'm not sure of the answer but with my experience they faxed mine over and Latonya called me and told me I had to go to therapy or they would not approve surgery. They I assume meant Medical Mutual. So I know for a fact I didnt pass mine with flying colors but I do have a high stress life. I'm sure it will be fine Colleen just do whatever they tell you and jump through the hoops! Thanks for keeping it real Tina! I just want a date!!!! I know I have been very lucky so far, but it just seems like forever!!!! I know it is not, I am just not a patient person! I know it is all about the hoops and a jumping I will go if it will save / change my life! Colleen

Hi, Are you a St.V patient? I'm on antidepressants and passed the psych eval, I did have to attend a pre-surgery support group at the hospital as a condition of my surgery. Actually it was very helpful. So hopefully thats all you will have to do.I had my surgery on 4/26/07.

i've been in therapy for almost 20 years, assorted disorders. after my psych eval i needed a letter from my shrink stating that he supported my decision and that i'd be continuing treatment. hope that helps.
