Hello everyone!! Has anyone had their RNY at St. Vincent's that had a cap on their insurance? I have a friend that is researching WLS and came across a "$20,000 lifetime maximum" for this type of surgery. If you experienced this, what did you end up paying out of pocket? Thanks.

Most of us have caps on our insurance for different coverage. I had a $10,000 cap, but St.V was also in my preferred provider system. Is it in your friend's? St. V's has everyone pay their deductible up front before surgery and then goes from there. Good luck to your friend.

Did you get a refund by any chance. I hap a lapband and had to pay up front too, but I'm sure I've already met my deductible, so I was thinking maybe when it is all said and done I may get a partial refund?

hi, I just went for the simnar at svch, and I am considering the lap band procedure, I would love to ask some questions, like, how long has it been since the procecedure, how much pain afterwords, do you have hunger pains, and how many adjustments have you had since, and did you get the impression at the simnar that the bypass was being pushed more than lap band, and if you had to do it again would you choose lap band over bypass, and one more did you have hair loss
