Barix Clinics
My wife and I started at Barix but later transfered to Fresh Start at Riverside. We went to Barix and the place was really nice and the people were great. I met with Dr. "Vig" and he was very nice also, but he would only do an "open" RNY. I wanted the Lap RNY. I have a heart condition and I wanted to be in a place that could handle that type of an energency if I needed it (thank God I didn't, knock on wood). Also they said they would help you with the insurance part of the program but they left me hanging out there for months. Fresh Start has everything in house. But no matter where you go you are taking the first step on a long journey back to health. Best of luck!

FYI....I just spoke with someone at The Barix Clinic. If you have Medicare as your insurance, they are NOT a Medicare provider. Therefore, you would have to go somewhere else. I have Medicare as my Primary and Aetna as my Secondary.
This really stinks.....now I'm back to the drawing board.
They did refer me to the Ohio State Bariatric Program. I haven't gotten any information on OSU yet.............Marie
