Looking for an Angel!
My name is Nicole and I am scheduled for LapBand surgery on April 30th. I'll be having my surgery at Riverside Hospital in Columbus Ohio. I have so many emotions going right now ... I'm very excited, a little nervous, a little scared, a little anxious!!!
I have been "researching" this for almost two years now, so I feel very confident that I'm doing the right thing, but still feel just a little nervous!
I would love to hear from others who have had the surgery and are doing well. I am sure in the coming weeks I am going to need advice/support/encouragement, etc!
I look forward to reading all the posts on these pages and learning from everyone here!
Hi Nicole, you'll do just fine. I started this adventure 2 yrs. ago and was denied by insurance on 2-19 and 2 weeks later had my surgery. I didn't have time to get scared, well that it till I was in surgery pre-op and I had a total meltdown then just lost it and the nurse and my husband thought I was scared, I was but also relieved that this was happening at last.
I had went in for the LAP RNY but in tha last incision she ran into to much scar tissue and a fatty liver(guess I'm fat on the inside too?) so she had toopen me up. No regrets at all. I would do it again. Now being about 7 weeks out I'm getting my energy back and feeling really good. Learning to eat is whole new thing for me. Something I never cared about before and now I have to care. But it's sure worth it. I've lost #26 in 6 weeks. The inches are coming off like crazy. Already 1 size down in my pants. So that puts a smile on my face.
Good luck and please let me know how you're doing when you get home.
Pam
