Has anyone had Bariatric surgery at Mount Carmel in Columbus??

I am looking for others who have had or is going to have bariatric surgery at Mount Carmel in Columbus, Ohio. I'm currently scheduled for their educational forum on April 11. I have heard and read that the Bariatric program at OSU is a pretty lengthy process. I am interested in having the Lap-band surgery and was wondering if Mount Carmel's program is set up the same way? Also, is everyone put through the same amount of tests OR is the program structured more so according to the individual and their situation? Any feedback I can get would be appreciated. Hello Marie....I went through Fresh Start at Riverside. The program took me about 4 months from the consultation to the surgery (I had Lap RNY). I'll be 2 weeks post op on Thursday. I think no matter what program you go through it will all boil down to what your insurance will require you to do for approval. I know sometimes they would rather see you dead than try to turn your life around and start fresh with a healthier life style....go figure....anyway, good luck to you and and may your weight loss journey be a smoooooooooooooooth one.
