STRESS EATING WHAT DO YOU DO?
Hello OH Ohio Family,
I'm a BIG TIME STRESS EATER and this week is really BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could use dome good thoughts sent my way so I can read the boards and not STRESS EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 13 year old daughter trying out for 8th grade cheerleading.
She was a cheerleader last year (and has been since 2nd grade) but all new rules this year.
SOOO Very STRESSFUL!!!!! for both of us. She also takes after me in stress eating.
My son who is 15 was just elected as Sr.Patrol Leader of his Boy Scout Troop. Which we didn't expect, so MORE STRESS. He is also working on his EAGLE project MORE STRESS.
Want are some of the things you do to keep from STRESS EATING.
Thanks OH Ohio FAMILY,
Robin

Hey Robin,
I completely agree with Dave. These are exciting things that are happening, stressful, yes but exciting.
As far as stress eating, could you chew gum? I know its not as satisifing but it gives you that chewing sensation. Or what about pre-cutting up some healthy snack things so that all you have to do is reach into the fridge and grab something to snack on. And obviously try to remove any snacks that are a down fall for you.
That's all I can think of. IM sorry. I hope that this has helped even just a little. You have done so remarkable (as evident from your picture). Keep a positive attititude and rejoice in the fine accomplishments of your children. Thats way COOL!

hi sweetie! long time no talk to!
first--be proud!!!
second-if ya wanna talk stress-i could fill you in on my life the last two years-but i won't!
robin....just keep pluggin away-hon i never have conquered the stress eating but i have tried to determine what really IS a stress-and i have really had to recite the serenity prayer a lot more- trying to understand what i can and cannot change and developing a plan!
chewing gum or drinking teas can help-walking or exercising - or reading a book or gardening--anything-i wish that i had better answers for you cuz i KNOW the stress eating syndrome all too well......when i almost lost my hubby the first time i was down to 150 # (minus 80!) and well on my way to goal--i have just passed my three year mark and am back up to 177....but i still have my michael !and i thank God daily for that-even with the limitations that he now has and the financial burdens we have endured.
sending you big hugs and wishing i could help more!!!!!!!
