????
I've been pursuing this quest of mine since June of last year (that's when I got up the courage to send my application in) been considering it a lot longer. Now that everything is starting to fall into place, I'm starting my 4 weeks of nutrition classes and waiting for a date from the surgeon, I'm starting to question everything just like you are. It's almost like I'm getting cold feet. And I tell myself this is rediculous, do you want to feel better or be like this for the rest of my life (which probably won't be much longer). It is hard though.
Since my hair is thin, losing it doesn't bother me. I'm hoping it'll grow back thicker and curlier. It can't get any worse. My hairdresser did tell me about Nioxin. It is a shampoo, actually it is a line of products that oncologists recommend to their patients getting chemo. There are different levels, like before, after and during, they're all numbers but I don't remember how they go. She said the nioxin works really well. My daughter used it also and she said it made her hair thicker and fuller.
Good luck with your surgery, just look forward to the end of your journey.
