Hey Everyone, I really wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who looked at and responded to my 3 week disappointing post-op appointment post. I did a lot of reflection and meditating on what you all said, and when I snapped out of my unnecessary self defeating and self inflicted depressive pity party I realized that you all are right. 19 pounds is a really remarkable and great loss and I am very proud of that now. I have never lost that much EVER in a 3 week period. My sister told me (who weighs 130 pounds soaking wet) that "Kym you may have lost 19 pounds but I SEE that you have lost inches. Look at how your pants have to keep being pulled up and how you don't have to keep pulling your shirt down every time you stand up. You have definately lost inches along with the weight. Your doing a good job and Im proud of all the sacrafices you have made." I just wanted to cry I love my sister. She has always been so much smaller than me but has ALWAYS been mindful of my morbid obesity in everything we do and has made accomidations for that and has encouraged me to keep going and that she will help where ever she can. So I really appreciate everyones wisdom, experiences and kind encouraging words. I have printed them and when I start to feel that Im not doing it or that my expectations are just to high, I will reread all of them and once again be greatful. Thank you all for brining me back to my senses. This website and everyone on it is such a blessing and Im so glad we have it to encourage each other. Thank you again everyone, you have all been so wonderful and encouraging. Kym =)

Hey Kym, body measurements are great for those times when the weight is not coming off, that way you have documentation of your progress. Glad to hear you're feeling better, keep up the good work!
