surgery in the morning

I have a partial bowel obstruction and a hernia. I am having surgery to repair both tomorrow am. Other than that... almost 1 year out and so glad I did this. I am 135 pounds and a size 4 pant! i never would have guessed that would happen. I would have been thrilled in a size 12! Peace~ PAm

Pamela congrats on the weight loss. I am sorry to hear about your bowel obstruction. I have had 13 of them, and 2 hernias so let's pray this will be all for you. I of course hate that I had the surgery, and I had mine reversed completely in 2005. Sandy

I'm sorry to hear about your complications. I know adhesions are a possible complication of any open abdominal operation, as are hernias. I do feel so much better with the weight off and even though I am in pain now recovering, expect to feel great again.. I know the adhesions could happen again but reversing the surgery won't change that, the more surgeries the more chances of adhesions. I can see how 13 surgeries would make you want to give up, it is painful. I hope you are doing better now. Pam
