Anyone have Dr.Bruce in Dayton at Grandview

Well, I am a regular poster in the main board. Thought I would find a few Ohio friends. I am going to have my surgery on the 28th of March with Dr. Bruce. I am excited and nervous. I would like a couple of cheerleaders. Brenda

Hi! I didn't have Dr Bruce as my surgeon, but he assisted his partner, Dr Clarey on my Lap RNY on 12/27/06. As Dr Clary was out for the month of Feb, I had 2-3 follow-ups with Dr Bruce. I found him to be concerned, helpful and attentive to any questions I had. My surgery was at grandview, and I found the hospital to be very nice. All the nurses were nice and attentive (except for the night nurse). I did develop an infection, which I found out is pretty common. That was painful, but both Drs were concerned and took care of it quickly. Overall, I had a pretty good experience. I am 12 weeks out and have lost 63 lbs. I was really sorry I had the surgery when I was infected, but each day I am more and more grateful to have had the surgery. I have never felt this good in my life. I went to the ymca today and joined and am looking forward to going there to exercise. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME ANY TIME!
