HELP I am in Post op and struggling
Hi Jennifer!
I'm being banded next week, but have been on liquids for a week and a half. I find that Boost shakes help me when I'm feeling empty. I add a little bit of unsweetened applesauce when I get desperate, as it thickens without adding a lot of sugar. A friend also told me to put cottage cheese in a blender and add to the shakes (one tsp. will help). best of luck to you!

Hi Jennifer,
My husband and I was both banded on Mar 5 2007, it was overwhelming when we first got home fully realizing all that we couldn't eat and the restrictions on the liquid diet has been hard to get used to. Isopure liquid from GNC a 20 oz. bottle with 40 grams of protien is good. I have also been drinking alot of Chicken Broth it's comforting also Decaff Teabags with splenda is a nice hot treat, we were told we can have yogurt with no chunks and sugarfree pudding and we are also trying eggbeaters so we are learning alot and also trying food combinations that I never tried before like Cottage cheese Pureed and a little bit of Taco Sauce in it gives the taste of Taco dip it is low in calories and high in protien this idea fron my good friend Mattie who was banded on the same day as me, good luck

HI there!
I believe you are still on liquids.
Fruit juices.(apple, grape, cranberry).. fresh ones, not frozen or anything with pulp.
SF popscicles
SF jello
Broth.. I made all kinds of soup and just strained it and drank the broth.
Depending on your doc.. you are almost done with this stage. I was able to move onto Puree at day 7.
Not eating wasn't too bad until day 6. lol I had SF pudding in the evening.. couldn't hack it any longer!
