Hi Nycia, Yes I had the surgey on November 17th 2005 at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. Dr. Arthur Carlin was/is my surgeon. ~This Saturday I will be 16 months out. It hads been an incredible journey. Pre-op all I did was lay in bed or on the couch watching the TV. I only got up to eat, bathe, or use the bathroom. I couldn't take care of my basic needs with out help. I left my home twice a month to go to the Dr's. office and go grocery shopping. I could barely walk three feet with out being out of breath and having to sit down to rest. Having this surgery saved my life. Now I don't even watch TV. I am able to work again, I take care of myself (by myself LOL). I love to walk, run and exercise. I have even gone skydiving. Life is wonderful for me. I vowed that if The Lord would provide the way for me to lose the weight I would give Him the glory and use it to help others. I believe that God gave me this surgery as a gift. I will do my best to use it for His glory. Thank you for caring enough to ask. God bless you, Annette
