Where do I start?? (Kaiser Permanente)

I need some help......I have no idea where to even start with my insurance company. Any ideas?? HELP!! Jenn

I have an hmo and I contacted them to see I they cover and how much. I have united health and they are covering it all. I have no co-pay. I then contacted a bariatric center for an appointment and then they take it from there. Good luck and be patient as it can take a while with the insurance co and bariatric center to get to worked out.

I would contact your insurance company and see what they require, (example: 5 year past weight history, physc. evaluation, PCP supervised diet etc....). Once you know what you will need for the insurance, then you also need to see what your surgeon requires. Good luck in your journey, some days it will feel like you are just butting your head up against a wall. Then once you get your approval from the insurance, it will all be worth it. I am now waiting on my surgery. I received my approval a week ago today. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Annetta
