asking for help from the men

I finally have my husband going to an information seminar Tues for Fresh Start at Riverside in Columbus. I would like to keep him around... he needs this surgery but is very resistant, especially since I had problems... any incouragement I could get for him from a man who has gone through it or couples who have would be great! Hello Pam.....I just got my ok from Aetna on Friday. I see Dr. Myers at Fresh Start on Tuesday and I hope he gives me a date. Tell hubby I'm 60 with heart problems and if he wants to end up like me just site back and do nothing. I don't know how things will go but I have to give it a shot. Everyone at Fresh Start have been good to me so far and I would recommend them to anybody who asks. If hubby needs to ask this ole' pipefitter some questions....fire away. Have a great day.... Dave

Pam, I had lap RNY with Dr. Mikami in Early December 2005. I have lost 135 lbs and am scheduled for plastic surgery at the end of May. I came home from the hospital and never took any of the pain meds. I got along great with NO complications. I ate what I was supposed to eat, I drank the liquids I was supposed to drink, I got my proteins in that I was supposed to get in and I have had absolutly NO problems what so ever. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heart beat. It has been a life saver for me. I no longer take any blood sugar meds, I no longer take any blood pressure meds and my cholesterol in now down to 159. I am healthier now than I have been in YEARS. It has been good for me.
