Calling all patients of Dr. Ben Meir/CCBS!!! Come here! :)
I am a patient of Dr. Ben Meir and have a few questions for ya'll!!
1. How long did it take for your things to be submitted to insurance after you got them into Dr. Ben Meirs office?
2. How much time passed between your submission to insurance and your approval?
3. How soon after your approval did you get your pretesting date and surgery date and how far out was it?
Thanks for answering my questions!!
I have all my things to LaTonya as of Friday, and she said she is submitting this week to ins. I have Anthem and from what I've heard they approve quick..sometimes in a only a week!! I am praying I get a date soon! I am SOOOO ready to do this!!!
HI Amber,
It took about a week to get everything submitted to my insurance, by Latonya. It took 2 days to get the approval and I got my surgery date the next day. There was 3 weeks between the PAT test and my surgery. It could have been shorter, but I chose a different surgery date then the one given at the time, due to school starting for my kids and letting them adjust to a couple of weeks first.
Good luck to you and let us know your date!
Michelle
Hi Amber,
It took about 10 days between when LaTonya submitted my paperwork to Medical Mutual and I found out I was approved. I called LaTonya about 3 times to find out!! My approval came on Friday and they called Monday 2/12 to schedule my PAT day and my surgery date. My PAT day was 4 days later on 2/16 and my surgery is 3/7. You probably guessed I am pretty excited about next week!!!!
Good luck and hang in there.....
Amber,
I met with Dr. Ben-Meir for the consult on 10/31. Latonya submitted my paper work to Medical Mutual around November 5th. On December 5th, Medical Mutual advised that they had not received my psych evaluation. Latonya sent another copy to them on December 7th. I was approved on December 27th. In early January, St. V's contacted me and I was scheduled for pretesting on 1/14. Surgery was scheduled (and completed) on 1/29/06.
Dr. Ben-Meir was wonderful. I too had called Latonya several times before getting any time of response. However, once insurance approves the scheduling moves to the surgery department and things moved quickly.
