Great suggestions. Thank you so much. I never really thought about that with the whole grieving thing over the food. I guess that does make sense though. Question...... What is NUT?

Thank you for your well wishes. I greatly appreciate each and every one of them I receive. I love this message board. Everyone is so encouraging and polite and kind. We are all very blessed to have such a forum!!! I actually have to lose 199 to get to the Metlife Ideal weight (Im at 350 now). I don't see me being at 150. Its a nice idea but I don't think that is realistic for me. I was 150 in high school while I was on the dance team. The things I did to maintain that weight was just so unhealthy! :angst: I now have 12 years of being 300+ pounds, two kids and other things behind me. My personal goal is about 190 - 199. At this point I would be completely exstatic at that weight. That may change the closer I get to 190 but we shall see. I too am looking to getting my self esteem and health back. I am really looking forward to riding our horses again. :horse: I haven't riden in almost 15 years and I miss it greatly. There are so many things Im looking forward to. Like going to the Indian's games at Jacob's Field and actually fitting in the seats, not having to wait in line at the bathroom for the "handicap" stall, being able to sit at a booth in a resteraunt in additional to myriads of other things to list here. But the biggest thing is being able to jump up and down at my kids sporting events to cheer them on vs sitting in the chair I brought b/c Im too heavy to sit on the bleachers or the plastic resin seats. Very embarassing for me and the kids. I will definately keep an update on my progress for anyone who would like to know. Like I said this site is such a beautiful gift filled with so many caring and encouraging people! :gossip:

I also have my surgery scheduled with Dr. Ben Meir on 3/7. I had breakfast with a new friend who is 2 years post op and she felt great immediately following surgery. She said her caesarean was harder to recover from than the lap gastric bypass!! I'm following all the guidelines that they gave us on PAT day, and am hoping for the best. I will say a prayer for you on Monday!!!
