Hello All: Question for you. Starting Wed., I have been having this stabbing pain in my pouch. It is near the center of my rib cage (where it ends in the middle) and then off to the left a little. Everytime I take a drink or eat something, and it goes down....I get a stabbing pain when it hits my pouch. I am not having any trouble keeping it down or getting it down. It just seems to reach my pouch and then stab me! I am not in terrible pain, but uncomfortable when I swallow a drink or eat. It scares me more than anything. Sometimes it feels like I have gas there? Anyone have this??? What was it??? Shelly

Shelley, You should your Dr. on this and now. It may be nothing or it might be serious. Why take a chance? I had an ulcer that was relatively quiet until it bled. I'm not trying to scare you, but it can happen to any of us. Take care, Doug

Shelly, If you were my patient I'd probably do a scope on you to take a look at the pouch and see if there was an ulcer or any other cause for the pain.
