I have a consult.......

Wow....I can not believe I am on my way. I went to the seminar for St. V's on monday evening. They said that in about two weeks someone would call to do a phone assessment and then set up a consult. Well by Wednesday they had called me and I have a consult set up for February 22nd. They wanted me to come in today but I couldn't get a babysitter that quickly, besides the fact that my husband couldn't get off work that quickly to go with me. I also have great insurance, they only require a psych eval and a diet history. I knew this so I already had my psych eval and my doctor is working on a letter that states my diet history with her and I have a letter of my diet history that I did on my own. Things are moving a lot quicker than I imagined. As it stands right now I am having Lap GB, Dr. Aviv Ben-Meir will be my surgeon. If anyone has any advice, comments or words of wisdom they would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Debbie

Hi Tina I was wondering if you and Colleen had made it to the seminar. I agree it is great news. The girl who called me said that they had just gotten a few answers from the insurance so she thought she would start calling. I'm sure any day now you will be getting the call, it takes about 5 minutes ( a little longer if you are a chatter like me) and then she sets you up with an appointment. Debbie

Debbie, Congrats on starting the process, I thought the biggest hassle was gathering documentation on previous weight loss attempts, etc. as my old family Dr.had moved. Hope the process goes quickly for you. Doug

Debbie that is AWESOME!!!! I was there alos, and have recieved a call to verify that my insurance does not begin until march 1st so now I have to wait but I am preparing myself for a lot of waiting just in case! Colleen Ps What kind of insurance do you have?
