Really Feeling Down

Sweetie Pie, I really really really know what you are going through.. It took me 2 and a half years of finding a good Doc who would accept Ohio Medicaid and then go through the entire circus act on that journey. I dont know how many times my PCP had to resubmit paperwork inches thick over and over again. I had 2 denials and state hearings. But in the long run it did help build my conviction that this was the right path for me and that I REALLY WANTED IT... ANd I had the medical backup to prove it. So please dont ever give up.. This is YOUR life and you need this WLS.. Keep trying, making phone calls, writing letters, Keep talking to anyone who will listen with compassion.. And I pray the good Lord makes it happen for you. Thanks Miss Laura for you words of encouragement God knows I needed it. I know this is just the beganning for me and I have a long journey ahead but it's so hard and whenever I think of giving up I look at myself or think of all the things I want to do and can't. I'm at the stage now where I'm waiting I finally talked to someone at Medicaid and they are putting a request for me to stay on Medicaid instead of Amerigroup and that will take 30 days so I'm hanging in there, again THANKS to you and everyone that took the time to write and please keep me in your prayers.

Does Kira accept caresource? If she does I would try and switch to it and keep her as your Doc. I am a surg tech and worked with her when she was at Mercy Memorial in Urbana and she is absolutely wonderful with her patients. She is a perfectionist and a wonderful surgeon.!! Thanks Tara I am interested in seeing Dr. Schofield for my surgery and now I'm in the process of trying to get them to let me stay on Medicaid but I have to wait 30 days for an answer, will continue to be a member here and keep evryone updated on any progress.
