Really Feeling Down
Hi all
Hope your having a better day than I am. I knew it was going to be a long journey but, I thought I was at least on my way. I attended a siminar at Middletown Hospital on the 27th, everything went well, I spoke with Dr. Kira Schofieldng and made an appointment for this week. Thought I had jumped over one wall being that she said they would accept Medicaid tnen low and behold Medicaid changes it's rules and now they require that you join a MCP (Managed Care Plan) in which the one I have to have is Amerigroup and wouldn't you know it now I can't find anyone that will accept it and I can't afford self pay, anyone know of anything or anybody that might help me I'm 5'7"-453 lbs. have all the illnesses that come along with morbit obesity and I'm just tired, any info/or suggestions are welcome. Thank You.
I see that you are from the Cincinnati area. Have you tried calling other doctors to see if they take your insurance??
Here's the link of other Ohio docs. I know it might take some time but I would get on the phone and start calling every doc in the area I could to see who will accept my insurance. You might also want to try Dayton/Kettering area also.
There is Drs. Anderson Rita & Gary, Dr. Bruce, Dr. Clarey, Dr. Fallang, Dr. Martin, Dr. Maguire,
I'm sure there are others but those are all of the ones I looked into 3 years ago.

I would have to agree with Linda you should look at switching to Caresource I know there are a ton of WLS that take that but let me tell you speaking from experience they are not the easiest to deal with but if you jump thru all there hoops you will get approved, I ended up being able to get the surgery cause I got on Medicare with all your health issues maybe you should consider trying to get Social Security Disability, thats what I am currently on. But anyway these are just my opinions and views you do what you feel is best for you. Good luck on your journey and may god bless.
