The Waiting Game
Hmmm....I thought I posted this yesterday, but I don't see it anywhere.....I guess it is out there is cyberspace!
All is done and St. V's has turned in everything to the insurance - Medical Mutual. So now it is time to play the waiting game. I have been told that it could take four to six weeks for the insurance company to answer. I think I better get started on lots of those little projects that around that need finishing or I'll go nutso waiting!
Everyone on these boards is so helpful. There's someone at each level that can sympathize with where you are at. Is this a great time or what!
Hello,
I sure can relate to the "WAITING GAME". I finished all my pre-op testing on 1/10/07. I found out that my paper work was sent to the insurance co on 1/26/07. Not only that , my papers were sent to the wrong dept. I swear what are the chances?. Anyway I have got to wait until they get that all straighted out. So I know all about the waiting game. But hey I'm sure we can handle it... It came to pass...It didn't come to stay....Take care...
Hello everyone! I to am at the beginning.. I went to the free seminar... and now I am waiting for the first visit with the Doctor,Diet, and psych. it seems like these days are dragging...... Best wishes to all you waiting. I, too, am an alumni. It took about 2 months for my insurance company to give an answer. Then, it was 2 weeks to surgery. Now, it is time for my new life. I look in the mirror and see a "normal" size person. I wear my size 14 clothes - used to be 30-32's. Good luck to all of you. If any of you would like an angel to come and see you at a Cleveland area hospital, I would be happy to stop up and visit, just email me and I will give you my phone #.

Bobbie,
Good luck. Medical Mutual took about 6 weeks to approve me -- part of the delay was that they said that St. V's did not send my psych evaluation to them. I do not if this was true but it did add about two weeks or so to the process. I called Medical Mutual every week to see where they where in the approval process. The good news is that I had my surgery two weeks ago with Dr. Ben Meir. So far -- so good with everything.
Good luck again,
Lisa
